Each week we drop a new theme or conversation topic in your Heroes channel.
Make a post about it on your own socials, in your own voice. Grab a frame below to make it pop, and always tag @dajoburgheroes + #DAJoburgHeroes so we can see it. Don't forget your personal Hero link at the end, it signs people up in a couple of taps.
Every post and everyone you bring in moves you up the leaderboard, with weekly awards and shoutouts along the way.
Pick something you care about in Joburg. Say why it matters to you. One honest sentence beats ten clever ones. End with your Hero link. Use a template if you like.
The braai test: would you actually say this out loud to friends at a braai? If yes, post it. If it sounds like a politician wrote it, scrap it. Authentic always wins.

Each week brings a bonus challenge tied to the theme. 10 points for taking part, and the winner earns an award and a shoutout.
Our favourite post each week earns 20 points, plus a repost from our pages so even more people see it.

We take your privacy seriously and handle your information in line with South Africa's POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act). This covers how DA Joburg Heroes handles your details across the whole programme.
This is a DA-aligned political campaign. By signing up and taking part, you've consented to us collecting and processing your information for DA campaign purposes, including information relating to political persuasion. Taking part is voluntary, and you can opt out at any time.
Your name, social media handles, and location/ward, the details you gave us when you signed up. (We only collect a contact number if you choose to join a group that needs one.)
For one purpose: to run the DA Joburg Heroes programme, sharing weekly themes, challenges and updates, and tracking the leaderboard to recognise your contribution. We don't use it for anything else.
Your details are stored securely and only accessed by the team running the DA Joburg Heroes programme. We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone outside the campaign.
We keep your information only for as long as the campaign needs it. Once the campaign ends, your personal information will be deleted.
You're in control. You can ask to see what we hold, ask us to correct it, opt out of messages, or ask us to delete your details entirely. To opt out or make any request, just message a group admin and we'll sort it. Taking part is voluntary, and you can leave at any time.
